school run

This is a project I initiated as a way of exploring the everyday within a routine event - the School Run.

The School Run is a mundane journey repeated many times - a universal ritual of the everyday.

I am investigating the very ordinary moments in life that may seem worthless, but they help to give form and cohesion to our lives.

The project is an experiment in looking - it is something and it is nothing.

I am open to the chance encounters of daily existence.

Perceptive to the changes in the environment that I pass through with my children on an almost daily basis.

I am interested in how we mark and touch a place - and how the environment in which we find ourselves marks and touches us in return.

School Run is a project about time, change and the ephemeral, explored through the rituals of the everyday.
